NTAB's Story
At NTAB, the customer is at the heart of everything we do. Every decision we make is driven by you—not by profit. When our founder started this brand, countless people suggested the “easy route”: buy cheap press-ons from overseas and mark them up for maximum margin. But that was never our vision. We were set on creating the perfect press-on nail and not compromise on anything just for a higher profit.
NTAB stands for Nails That Aren't Boring. And it's a very cool story how it all started.
Our founder has always loved nails that make a statement—fun, vibrant, & bold. But spending hours in the salon with her busy schedule was becoming hard to manage. So she turned to press-ons, hoping for the same personality without the time commitment. Instead, she dove into the press-on world and found problems everywhere.
Glamnetic offered great longevity, but the designs were printed, not hand-painted, and they were never bold enough for her taste. KISS and other brands had fun designs, but the nails weren’t quality or durable and they never lasted longer than a few days before popping off.
No matter where she looked, no brand gave her everything she was looking for in a press-on.
Eventually, she discovered hand-painted press-ons. "Finally" she thought — she found the artistry, bold colors, and real salon-level quality! Except.....there was one HUGE problem: sizing.
Every hand-painted press-on brand required her to choose one single size (XS, S, M, L). But her nails weren’t standard—they were all different shapes and widths. She needed a range of sizes just to complete one full set. But no hand-painted press-on brand offered size-inclusive sets.
That was the moment something clicked. If this press-on didn't exist, she would build it herself.
And that’s how NTAB was born. A brand created to deliver exactly what you're looking for, no compromising necessary. NTAB delivers bold, hand-painted designs in 24 piece size-inclusive sets, without ever asking you to compromise on anything.
And our name? Well, that's self explanatory! At NTAB, we only have Nails That Aren't Boring.
Why NTAB?
NTAB isn't just another nail company. We are a new class of press-on-nails disrupting a $2 BILLION press-on industry that's been built off garbage plastic and forcing customers to compromise in some aspect. We took everything wrong about other nail companies, and we fixed it.
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the top press-on nail brands are mass-produced plastic nails from China that cost pennies to produce, and companies are up-charging you for an insane profit. Their designs are machine-printed by the millions, the nails themselves are made of ABS plastic, and each set costs no more than $0.02 to produce. Profit is all that matters to the big companies. And sure, you could choose to support a smaller brand and purchase hand-painted press-ons, but even those have their flaws....
Other hand-made and hand-painted nail brands will offer you durability and quality, maybe even with a few fun designs, but you'll be forced to choose one size and compromise on a truly perfect fit. I guess you could purchase multiple sizes, but who wants to spend over $80 on a set of press-on nails?!

Why Do We Need Another Press-On-Nail Company?
While there are many press-on nails on the market, they all have their own issues. You're often forced to choose between:

The Problem with Other Press-On Nails
The press-on-nail industry has been waiting for an upgrade, and NTAB delivered. NTAB has filled every gap in the press-on-nail market. While competitors claim they bring salon quality to your home, they forget to mention that you'll be forced to compromise somewhere, somehow.
We won't name names here, but let's go over why some of the biggest press-on nail brands are actually problematic. Let's first start with quality.
Problem #1: Top Brand Press-On Nails are Made with Cheap Plastic
PROBLEM: Almost all press-on nails (besides hand-painted ones) are made of ABS plastic, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene—a lightweight, flexible plastic that’s commonly used for nail tips and extensions. While it is generally considered a safe plastic to use, it is still plastic, thus it looks, feels, and sounds like plastic. ABS is also is not as strong as gel or acrylic, which means it's more likely to break or crack (think of opening a soda can).
ABS plastic and other materials are not a TRUE salon-quality experience. They are clear downgrades from salon-quality materials such as gel and acrylic. (Fun Fact: If you click ABS press on nails on a table, they sound plastic. But gel and acrylic nails sound like real nails).

Problem #2: Most Press-On Nail Designs are Machine-Printed
PROBLEM: Almost all press-on nail designs (besides hand-painted ones) are printed by machines. This means the designs are limited (no fun, vibrant patterns) and there is no dimension to the designs. They're clearly printed via a machine.
This is not an issue for one-color nails, but when you want a fun, festive design, hand-painted nails will always yield a better result than a machine. Now yes, there are also hand-painted press-ons available to buy, but those come with their own issues: sizing.

Problem #3: Hand-Painted Press-Ons Are NOT Size-Inclusive
PROBLEM: There are millions of fun hand-painted nails out there. Some are even super unique and elaborate. The only issue is these come with another compromise - you have to choose one size, or, purchase multiple sizes if you're in-between sizes. Either way, it's a hassle and a compromise.
Hand-painted nail brands force you to measure each nail and choose a size based on your measurement. This is an issue because 1. Measuring your nails is annoying, 2. Every manicurist or company has different size charts and order their base nails from various vendors, or they create nails in-house, so sizing is always inconsistent. An XS size for one brand may be a S with a different brand.
Many hand-painted nails are gorgeous, but unfortunately they ALL only come with 10 nails per set.

Problem #4: No Mix-N-Match Ability
We'll let you in on a little secret: top press-on nail companies purchase their nail sets from hundreds of vendors, so their shapes are never truly consistent and interchangeable. Let's take Glamnetic for instance - if you take two of their short almond nail sets and try to mix-n-match the designs, there will be small variations in the two sets: mismatched curvatures, inconsistent almond shape, etc.

How are NTAB nails made?
Our small team of experienced manicurists curate each set from start to finish:
NTAB manicurists craft every single press-on from salon-grade gel or acrylic, using a special mold to ensure every single shape is consistent across different designs (this allows us to truly mix-n-match sets!).
Once the base press-ons have been fully cured under UV, our manicurists hand-painted each nail using base coats, gel polish and top coats. One nail set is always completed before another set is started, so our manicurists are never painting on an assembly line. After the designs are hand-painted, the polish is set to fully cure and each nail is inspected for any imperfections before they're individually placed on our NTAB nail cards.
